On Saturday, following the meeting of the High Power Committee with the student representatives, five hundred and six students submitted their resignation. The students were extremely dissatisfied with the outcome of the meeting. The tone adopted by the committee members was highly discouraging and they constantly pressurized the students to drop the demand of the director’s resignation. The students reiterated their primary demand of the director’s resignation and demonstrated before the high power committee. To express their dissatisfaction with the no-show by the high power committee, the students blocked the main gate of the campus and delayed the departure of the members of the committee. The committee did not provide any solution to the students’ problems and did not provide any written assurance of solving the same problems in the future. There was a high police presence in the campus and the police arrived armed with lathis and water cannons. The police tried to threaten the students to call off the protest and make way for the exit of the committee members. Despite this the students continued to shout slogans in front of the committee members. The students have decided to continue their stir from Monday although they have decided to break their hunger strike. ABVP continue to support the strike and two members of ABVP joined the students to protest in front of the high power committee.
I am not sure whether you will post this comment, but I request you to at least read. Also, please be requested, these are just questions for you to think. I am not giving my decision whether your protest is going in a right or wrong direction.):
1. Who will get affected by the protest? You, the faculty, the alumni or etc.?
2. Do you have any plan after resignation of NIPER Director?
3. If NIPER faculty members are with you, the protest makes sense. Otherwise, will you be comfortable to ask them for recommendations?
4. Do you think by exaggerating infrastructure problems, PCI/AICTE and other agencies will approve NIPER degree.
5. Do you think companies will visit NIPER in future after this adverse advertisement?
6. What is long term vision behind this protest?
I am not aware of the current situation @admin, but when I left NIPER it was the greatest place for most of the pharmacy graduates, at least in India.
Thanks!

Respected sir/mam,
i would like to give answer of your questions
answer of 1st question) it is not who will effected the most by protest in future. but these protest is the outcome of students who are suffering from long time (i think since 2010--as number of seats get two fold higher)
answer of 2nd question) we are not here to plan how to run NIPER, but it is the massage to all administration of acedemic institutes of india including ministry that if they will fail to fill their responsibility by providing good governance than student will take this step thousands times as and when required.
answer of 3rd question)i cant comment on these question because it's solely depend on working relation between students and teachers which was already form for 4th sam students and it is yet to form for 2nd sam students.
answer of 4th question) both the point is exclusive from each other kindly read the demands once again.
answer of 5th question)before facing current situation thinking for future is completely irrational. Respected sir/mam, its not adverse advertisement. it is the real mirror of current situation that is prevailing in NIPER. and if i talk about companies, it may possible that in future companies will visit more often by examining the implementation driven by this protest by ministry in favour of students.
answer of 6th question) long term vision.. (1)to pass the massage to the higher authorities of all government and private academic institution of India that don't even try to play with the carrier of student of India..no meter what are the power you are having if you will use it recklessly than student will not keep their mouth shut.
(2) take decisions logically by keeping the view of future of students in mind. (few example of irrational decisions:increasing intake of student without appointing sufficient teachers, allocating the future of student in the hand of guide who even not certain about his/her job in institute, failing to provide sufficient boarding and security facilities to especially girls who are thousands of kilometer away from their parents eyeing the dream of higher study in institute of national importance.
(3) keep miles away individual politics from the future of student.
(4) to arise and awake each and every student of india to stand and fight/ask for their rights.
Respected sir/mam,
to get information related to current position of administration talk personally to your junior
i hope these will help you to decide right or wrong way of protest.
Thanks!
